The fruit comes entirely from the Shell Creek Vineyard with vines planted in 1971 on limestone cliffs full of marine fossils and farmed organically for six generations by the Sinton family. This wine benefits from the warm Paso Robles climate- but is tempered by very cool nights creating a perfect balance of ripe fruit backed by plenty of classic Chenin acidity. The fruits spends ~10 days on the skins giving it just a bit of color and texture but not much oxidation. Notes of ripe fleshy apricot Meyer lemon fleur du sel and a lingering savory stoniness. –
