A beautiful expression of Pinot Blanc. Notes of marzipan- yellow apple dried grasses chamomile fleur du sel with a stony salty finish. – – Whole-cluster fermented in neutral Burgundian oak with complete malolactic conversion adds to its soft rounded edges then aged for 5 months in neutral barrels. The grapes are 100% from Freedom Hill Vineyard which was planted in 1982 on marine sediment which really shines on a neutral variety like Pinot Blanc. Only 250 cases produced! – – In the past twenty years Kelley has made wine at Torii Mor Hamacher and Scott Paul and was originally mentored by the winemaker at Eyrie Vineyards. Only over the last seven years has she produced only her own wine but her relationship with an array of esteemed ecological grape-growers has allowed her the opportunity to use some really high-quality fruit and manage a few plots herself with biodynamic principles. In the cellar she uses a light touch no additives except a very small amount of sulfur. A deeply soulful human making deeply soulful wines!
