Second generation winemaker Russel Joyce and his wife Charlotte, took over from his father who started the Joyce Wine Co. in 1986 planting a vineyard around the family home in Monterey County. Russel took on another small estate in Arroyo Seco and committed to farming the entirety organically and with sustainability at the forefront (still not common enough in California). Fruit for the Albarino comes from the Mission Ranch and Cedar Lane vineyards, both neighbors of the Joyce estate, bottled with very low SO2. Crisp, refreshing, a perfect spring and summer wine for ceviche and crunchy vegetables.
