The Ficomontanino estate is positioned on the South-East outskirts of Tuscany in a town called Chiusi. Established in 1960, It is currently in the hands Maria Sole who took over for her grandfather in 2016. She has transitioned the vineyard to a more regenerative approach, avoiding sprays of any kind as much as possible, allowing vegetation to grow freely. This white wine is made from local variety Brachetto and a small portion of Trebbiano left on the skins for just a brief period to give this wine a bit of texture and tannin, but stops short of becoming an “orange” wine. Juicy, fresh nectarine, Meyer lemon skins, sea salt and bright acidity.
