Vermentino is originally from the island of Sardinia, but it quickly made its way to the Tuscan coast where it has had a very long, enduring history. The Erné vineyards sit at ~500 ft elevation overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The family who makes this wine had always sold their grapes to the local co-op and other winemakers, but eventually realized they had something special and wanted to create their own wine. Notes of fresh flowers, thyme, seaspray, and green pear.
