Marisa Cuomo is a legend on the Amalfi Coast for her expert winemaking, but also because her vineyards are designated as “heroic” as they sit on impossibly steep cliff-sides overlooking the Mediterranean. Her rosato is 50% Piedirosso (locally known as per ‘e palummo) and 50% Aglianico grown on steep terraces 320-820ft elevation on Dolomitic-limestone. It was the winner of the ‘Grand Gold Medal’ at the International Competition of Mountain Wines. This is not your typical light, quaffable rosé, this is structured, age-worthy, food-pairing wine.
