This wine brings a prominent Spanish winemaker, Freddi Torres, back to his roots in Valais, Switzerland where he grew up from the age of 5. As an adult he fell in love with wine and moved back to Spain to work at the famous Clos Mogador in Priorat and then went on to partner with winemakers across the country. The ‘Visperterminen’ is 100% Heida (more commonly known as Savagnin, a grape popular in the Jura) from the St. Jodern Kellerei co-op of growers in the Valais with some of the highest elevation vineyards in the world over 3,000ft. This wine has great richness, with a lush, creamy texture, notes of almond, ripe peach, and fleur du sel.
