The winegrowers of Muscadet have worked hard in the last decade to put their little appellation on the map and now they have successfully demarcated several important ‘Crus’ with unique, high-quality vineyards. The Batard Langelier estate sits right between two of the most famous; Château Thébaud and Monnières Saint-Fiacre. This 3rd generation family is fully converted to organic farming and vinifies their wine very traditionally in glass-lined tanks with long lees aging. This cuvée comes exclusively from the ‘Monnières Saint-Fiacre’ cru with 60+ year old vines on Gneiss soils fermented and aged for 3 years in glass tanks before bottling unfined and unfiltered. Lovers of aged Chablis will find much to enjoy with wine, and can absolutely continue to hold it for years to come.
