Do not be fooled by the humble “Anjou Blanc” appellation- this beautiful delicate lighter than air Chenin Blanc is made from the only Grand Cru vineyards in the Loire Valley; Quarts du Chaume. Since Quarts du Chaume is designated as a sweet botrytized wine any dry table wines like this one cannot receive Grand Cru status. Today this estate is led by an incredible young winemaker Vanessa Cherruau who works with her team on these famous vines with the utmost care and fully biodynamic practices.
