Domaine Garon is one of the longest lived estates in the Rhone valley dating back to 1475, and still remains in the family! Though they traditionally sold their fruit to larger estates like Guigal, they began bottling their own wine in the 1980’s. This white from the famous Hermitage is a blend of 90% Roussanne with ~10% Marsanne; rich, silky, but nicely balanced with aciditiy so that it doesn’t fall flat or feel heavy on the palate. Beautiful aromas of fresh white flowers and white peach. This is a special bottling that very small quantities are made and even less end up in our state!
