Domaine des Comtes Lafon is one of the most famous producers of Meursault and for good reason. Typically their wines are very hard to get, and price in the $100’s, but they also make this incredible line of more affordable wines from vineyards in the Macon where land is not as expensive. This cuvée is a blend of multiple parcels averaging 30 year old vines. The wine is aged in very large, mostly neutral barrels to keep the wine lighter, more approachable when it’s young.
