The Brotte family are 5th generation wine-growers in the Rhone Valley with plots in both the Northern and Southern regions. For this wine, the ‘Baies Dorées’ refers to the beautiful golden color of Viognier when it is fully ripe. In the wrong hands this grape can feel soapy and flat, but the Brotte family does a wonderful job at preserving its freshness and creating a light, delicately floral wine that’s perfect with spring vegetables, fish dishes, and young cheeses.
