The Boulay family has been working the land of Sancerre as far back as 1380! Instead of using his youngest vines, or lowest quality red fruit to make rosé, Gerard makes his very intentionally with 40-50 year old Pinot Noir vines from the steep hillsides outside his home in Chavignol. Direct-pressed and made in tanks to preserve its freshness. Somehow balances being incredibly delicate with concentrated flavor!
