Domaine Mourat began making wine in 1974 and now 2nd generation winemaker, Jérémie Mourat, is helping to put this lesser known appellation of ‘Fiefs Vendéens’ on the map. This tiny sub-region is very close to the Atlantic coast and situated between the Loire River and Bordeaux giving it the ability to grow a large range of varieites. This lovely, delicate rosé is a blend of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Gamay gently pressed and rested in stainless steel for 5 months before release. Super light and mineral, with notes of fresh herbs, celery salt on the nose. This is a great pairing for oysters, crunchy green vegetables, or just on its own while enjoying a sunny day.
