Olga and Barnaby Tuttle started a winery in 2009 essentially on a whim; quit their jobs and threw themselves into winegrowing whole-heartedly. Their philosophy is to farm and create wines as naturally as possible. Their slogan is “Old & Cold, High & Dry, Wood & Wild“, meaning old vines grown in cool climate, at high elevations, with no irrigation, aged in neutral wood, and fermented with native/wild yeasts. It is a rarity to find a still, varietal expression of Pinot Meunier (one of the major grapes of Champagne), and even more so to find one this delicious! Earthy, rosemary, wild cherry, medium body, fascinating!
