Mikey & Gina Giugni created Scar of the Sea together in 2012 committed to working with Biodynamic vineyards and eventually purchasing some land to farm themselves. Everything they do is low intervention, hoping to capture a sense of place with each wine. This cuvée is a blend of 3 vineyards along the coast, Bassi Vineyard (where they live and farm), Casa Contenta Vineyard, and the organically farmed Marfarm Vineyard in the Edna Valley. Fermented and aged in old, neutral barrels. Dark, brooding, a touch of seaside salinity!
