Porter Creek started in 1977 before there was even an appellation here and continues to make wine in an old-school, balanced style. The vines here are planted on clay and schist. The fruit is hand-harvested and ferments outside in steel tanks before aging inside for 11 months in small French oak barrels (25% new).
