The Syrah from Santa Ynez Valley comes from two sites one mile apart; predominantly the Pace Vineyard- farmed organically by Ryan’s father and a small portion of white grapes from Valley View Vineyard. Whole cluster Syrah is blended with 5% Viognier a la Cote-Rotie and the resemblance is noticeable but retains its bright sunny California quality. This has everything you want from classic Syrah a little cracked pepper a little salumi wild blackberry and cherry. Precise concentrated flavor without feeling weighty.
