Hirsch Vineyards is located within the Fort Ross-Seaview AVA, right on the Pacific coast, which you can clearly see in their bright, fresh Pinot Noirs. David Hirsch started the Hirsch Vineyards in 1978 when the land was a sheep ranch before being converted to vineyards. David became a farming legend in the area, supplying grapes to some of the most famous wineries in Sonoma before finally making his own wines after 2002. By 2011 David was convinced of the benefits of Biodynamic farming and by 2014 all 72 acres were converted! The ‘Bohan-Dillon’ is a ode to the great village wines of Burgundy and is currently blended from two continguous Hirsch vineyards with the addition of fruit from their friends at the Heintz Ranch 20 miles south.
