Steve Edmunds is one of the kindest, most thoughtful winemakers in California, and this may be the last batch of his wines we’ll ever get because he just retired! Shake Ridge Ranch is in the hills a few miles east of Sutter Creek, in Amador County up between 1,500 feet and 1,800 feet above sea level. This gorgeous blend is 32% Mourvedre, 28% Grenache, 26% Graciano, and 14% Tempranillo aged in old French barriques. 7 years of age has put this wine in its sweet spot; a beautiful balance of juicy, stewed fruit and dried earth, tertiary aromas. What a treat to have the last of these!
