Two friends studying together ended up catching the ‘wine bug’ and started an eonology consulting firm- but eventually wanted to make their own wine. This led to them establishing Celler Communica on an old farmhouse estate on the border of Montsant and Priorat. Single-vineyard of 70-80 year old Carenyena (Carignan/Samso) planted on Calcareous clay and sandy granite that sits on a cliff just below Priorat. Savory peppery and full-bodied but with plenty of acidity to back it up.
