Most of the grapes grown in the Algarves are sent to the local co-op to be blended as bulk wine- but in 2016 the owners of the Morgado do Quintão decided that they had something special with their land and wanted to bottle it on their own. They have converted everything to organic and dry farming and specialize in the native grapes of this region. Negramole is unique in that within the same bunch some grapes will be white some pink and some red. These are all picked at separate times by hand and then blended to make this light fresh red/rosé wine. –
