Dominio de la Abejas is a small family-run winery started in 2015 by Mauricio Ruiz Cantú whose tagline is “Joyful, Wild, & Expressive” which speaks to the style of these wines. The farming here is all organic and the name of the winery ‘Domaine of the Bees’ is a reference to how important the land and biodiversity is to them. The vineyards are based in Ojos Negros at over 2,000ft elevation with a range of soil types. Juicy strawberry, nice aromatics, medium bodied, just enough tannin; lovely!
