Eduardo Torres learned to make wine on his native Canary Islands before moving to Sicily in 2012- where he took an internship with Arianna Occhipinti. This wine comes from an ungrafted parcel of mixed-variety ancient vines situated on the north face of iconic Mt. Etna. The name “Quota N” pinpoints the parcel quite literally: the tiny dirt road running by is called the Strada Quota Nave. Eduardo was not permitted to use the full word “Nave” because its 1070-meter altitude exceeds the limits of the DOC. 50% Nerello Mascalese 30% Grenache 20% Grecanico – Carricante – Coda di Volpe.
