50% Nerello Mascalese- 30% Grenache 20% Grecanico – Carricante – Coda di Volpe. Beautiful wine characterized by freshness mineral depth and acidity with aromas of red berry fruit spices and herbal notes. – – Eduardo Torres learned to make wine on his native Canary Islands before moving to Sicily in 2012 where he took an internship with Arianna Occhipinti. This wine comes from an ungrafted parcel of mixed-variety ancient vines situated on the north face of iconic Mt. Etna. The name “Quota N” pinpoints the parcel quite literally: the tiny dirt road running by is called the Strada Quota Nave. Eduardo was not permitted to use the full word “Nave” because its 1070-meter altitude exceeds the limits of the DOC.
