Stunning example of Cotes-du-Rhone from the most northerly village of the Southern Rhone, Vinsobres. Franck Balthazar is a one-man show, farming his vineyards organically, with his horse-drawn plow. This bottling is 60% Grenache, 40% Syrah raised in steel with native yeast fermentation, no filtration, and very little SO2 used at bottling. One of the most elegant Cotes-du-Rhone’s I’ve come across!
