An excellent expression of Chateauneuf-du-Pape from biodynamic producer- Domaine Santa Duc. This cuvée comes from some of their oldest vines ~90 years old vines planted on red clay. This wine shows the most ‘bass notes’ of their lineup; notes of stewed fruits fresh fertile soil and the classic garrigue of the region. The addition of 15% Mourvèdre (with 80% Grenache 5% Cinsault) gives this wine a deep chocolatey back drop layered with black cherry and forest floor.
