An excellent expression of Chateauneuf-du-Pape from biodynamic producer- Domaine Santa Duc. This highly respected winery works with a relatively cooler site to create this blend of 70% Grenache 30% Syrah aged in 36-hectoliter oak Stockinger foudres and 8-hectoliter terracotta amphorae. The result is a deep complex array of aromas wild raspberry dried thyme and cocoa nibs with soft integrated tannins and plenty of acidity to carry its weight.
