8th generation family-run Champagne estate based in the Grand Cru village of Bouzy. For this very special vintage cuvée the fruit comes from 70+ year old vines on the north-facing slopes of Grand Cru Verzenay (lieu-dits Les Corettes and Les Champs St-Martin). The wine is aged in oak, bottled under cork for the second fermentation and spends four years on lees before disgorgement. Balanced between lazer-focus from the cooler site and intensely chalky soils and the softness and creaminess the winemakers give the wine with oak aging and 4+ years on the lees. A beautiful wine that still has a decade or more of life in the bottle.
