This tiny domaine has been cared for by the Bechtold family for 4 generations and several of their vineyards are in the Grand Cru villages of Alsace. They farm biodynamically (a step beyond organic- incorporating local floral and fauna) and intervene very little in the cellar. This sparkling wine is made in the same method as Champagne is mostly Chardonnay and Pinot Auxerrois (with a touch of Pinot Noir). Rich and toasty a great alternative to Champagne at a great price.
