Founded in 1816 in the Cima Corgo (largely considered the best sub-zone in the Douro), now run by the 3rd generation of the Roseira family. Unlike most Port houses, the Roseira family actually grows their own grapes (and formerly sold off the fruit to those large houses) and all of their vineyards are classified as A-level; the highest designation for Port vines. Because the fruit quality is so high, this also means they don’t need to fortify the wines as much to preserve more sugar, so their style is medium dry.
