Chateau Guiraud is classified as a First Growth of Sauternes in the 1855 Classification and the vineyards have been managed organically since 1996. 65% Semillon and 35% Sauvignon Blanc fermented in mostly new oak barrels for 3 to 6 weeks- then aged 18 to 24 month in older barrels. Rich and concentrated with great acidity. Balanced and moderately sweet for a Sauternes. Blood orange marmalade exotic fruits spices saffron.
