NYDC has been pushing to put NY spirits on the map since 2011 when Brooklyn Brewery founder Tom Potter got together with Allen Katz to open one of the first NYC distilleries since prohibition. The rye for this whiskey is a combination of Horton Heirloom Rye and organic Field Race Rye both grown in the Finger Lakes. The Jaywalk Straight Rye brings together barrels aged 6 7 and 8 years.
