Hanssens is one of the oldest lambic producers in Belgium- which began in 1871 and they’ve been making excellent very tradtional blended brews ever since! A Lambic is a beer that is fermented spontaneously (much like most of our wines at Town Cellar!) instead of carefully selected yeasts that ferment most styles of beer. An ‘Oude Gueuze’ Lambic is made from a blend of barrels that have been aged for various lengths of time and this case from several brewers in the are giving it more complexity and also the ability to age. Tart rich salty and completely unique. Try this with something spicy to cut the heat!
